We do not publish a rate card, because an honest figure depends on what the matter actually requires. What we do promise is that you see the scope, the timeframe and the cost in writing before anything substantive begins.

The assessment exists to work these out with you, rather than have you guess at them on a form.

Current listings are quick. Historical, archived or contested material takes longer to obtain and to verify.

Matters with a hearing date or a payment deadline are prioritised, and that is reflected in the figure.

A short factual note and a report intended to be read by a court are written to different standards.
What the quote covers
One figure, from assessment to report
Unless the scope changes with your agreement, the figure you approved is the figure you pay. Any third-party search fees or expenses are listed separately and confirmed with you before they are incurred.
Before anything begins
No substantive work is undertaken on a verbal go-ahead. You approve the written scope and figure first.
- An initial assessment of your information at no cost and with no obligation
- A plain answer on whether we can lawfully assist with the matter
- A written scope setting out what will be done, and what will not
- An estimated timeframe and a figure for that scope, agreed before work begins
- The enquiries themselves, conducted and documented as they proceed
- A written report of findings, including anything that could not be established

Longer matters
Agreed at stages, so you can stop at any point.
Expenses
Itemised separately, never absorbed into the fee.
